Best Dessert in Tallahassee

I took a little detour to visit, More Than Pudding Pudding and Dessert Shop. I knew I didn’t need it, but I definitely wanted cheesecake! The shop is located near Tallahassee State College on Pensacola Street. Her shop is located in the mini plaza between what used to be Moe’s (they’re gone) and the Which Wich sandwich shop. As soon as I entered the cute shop, I was greeted by the radiant smile of the owner. (This was my second visit, and I still don’t know her name.) She even remembered me from my last visit, when I had inquired about cheesecake. Unfortunately, she had been sold out then—but this time, she had some available. I can’t even remember what the other cheesecake flavor was, because she asked if I had ever tried Biscoff cheesecake. I hadn’t, and I didn’t even know what it tasted like. She let me sample her butter pecan ice cream, because it contained Biscoff cookies—and I love butter pecan ice cream. It tasted like a little bit of heaven: creamy, smooth, and absolutely delicious. I immediately announced, with enthusiasm, that I definitely wanted a slice of the Biscoff cheesecake. We chatted pleasantly for a bit, and then I had to be on my way. As soon as I got into my car in the parking lot, I cracked open the container and took a bite of the cheesecake. It was delicious! As I’ve said before I didn’t need the cheesecake, but my goodness, I wanted it. It was so decadent, and the Biscoff made it irresistible. The dessert shop is always clean, and the owner is always pleasant. On a previous visit, I had the strawberry cheesecake bread pudding (no, I didn’t need that either...but it was delicious), and it brought back sweet childhood memories. She also bakes cookies and offers ice cream. I’m sure she creates many more treats; however by the time I usually get there, around 1:00 p.m., many of those delicious items have already sold out. Treat yourself to a tasty dessert, and remember…you burn more calories in the winter! Now you have your justification. 😊

What an amazing experience!!! From getting to sample all the different banana puddings all of which were amazing!! The owner was super sweet and kind! We got the vanilla bourbon pudding and it was incredible , along with a slice of the croissant bread pudding with a slice of birthday cake pudding on top and WOW it is all incredible!!!! Will definitely be returning.

My husband and I went in for the first time. I got the strawberry cheesecake bread pudding and the traditional as well. He got the biscoff cheesecake. I haven't had a chance to try my bread puddings yet but we loved the cheesecake 😍😍

1.3.2025 10 over 10 easily! I initially heard of this place via FB at least a month before trying. I spent about $50+ and I'll say it was worth all of it. I'm slowly & very rarely re-introducing my GI system to dairy; so, this menu may have been a little heavy on my gut (note that if you are on a reduced dairy diet). However..... I got 3 different bread pudding flavors (can't remember which) and a small cup of butter pecan custard. The custards gave soft serve ice cream; without the guilt though. All were obviously handcrafted, fresh, and rich with flavor. I called ahead w/ questions and the counter person was just as patient and courteous on the phone as in person. Regretfully, (maybe not so much 😆) I live too far to visit more often.... Congrats on a winning biz concept, as well! Shop small & shop local
